Deputy dean of the TSU Faculty of Law, Associate Professor Dr. Giorgi Dgebuadze, attended a working visit to Baku to participate in the international scientific conference - “Interrelating Institutional Change and Social Practices in Central Asia and the Caucasus“ - organized by Dortmund and Bielefeld Universities.
The conference was held with the support of the Volkswagen Scientific Foundation in collaboration with the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, within the framework of the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program – “Institutional Change and Social Practice, Research of the Political System, the Economy and Society in Central Asia and the Caucasus“ - led by Prof. Dr. Christoph Schuck (TU Dortmund University) and Prof. Dr. Andreas Vasilache (Bielefeld University).
Within the framework of the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Giorgi Dgebuadze delivered a report on the topic "The role of international criminal law in times of globalization and regionalization - Current challenges and jurisprudential perspectives" and held a scientific discussion with the representatives of the universities of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Germany. The participants of the conference discussed the fields of mutual cooperation and future joint research possibilities. Furthermore, facilitating and enhancing the collaboration between universities and joint participation in the international projects were planned.
